Visited our flood kitty this afternoon. He’s actually looking healthier than he did even before, perhaps his dip in the flood waters agreed with him. We’re doing our best to fatten him up, I think the stress was a bit much and he was all skin and bones for a while there.

If you need reminding that the flood happened, take a drive around Graceville in Brisbane’s west. Streets there are still caked with mud, the riverbanks are a mess, houses are either clearly vacant or in the middle of a rebuild.
